# D&D Tools Suite — Install Instructions

## What’s in the download

You’ll get a ZIP containing **three things**:

1. **Installer EXE** (D&D Tools Suite)

2. **Tools** folder (contains the HTML tools)

3. **Instructions.txt** (this file)

## Install Steps (Windows)

1. **Unzip** the download somewhere easy (Desktop/Downloads).

2. **Run the Installer EXE**

   - If Windows SmartScreen appears, choose **More info → Run anyway** (your call).

3. **Install location (default)**

   - Single-user default:

     - `C:\Users\<YourName>\AppData\Local\Programs\dnd-tools-suite`

   - If you choose “All Users” / system-wide install, the default is typically:

     - `C:\Program Files\dnd-tools-suite`

4. **Copy the Tools folder into the install directory**

   - After installation, open the folder where the app was installed.

   - Drag and drop the **Tools** folder directly into that install folder.

   When finished, it should look like:

   - `...\dnd-tools-suite\D&D Tools Suite.exe`

   - `...\dnd-tools-suite\Tools\`

     - `npc_generator.html`

     - `name_generator.html`

     - `shop_tavern_generator.html`

     - `quest_generator.html`

     - `dungeon_generator.html`

     - `loot_generator.html`

5. **Launch the application**

   - The app will warn you if the **Tools** folder or required files are missing.
